  1. I have never created my own power point presentation, though I have had to sit through a lot of the presentations. What I would primarily like to learn is how to create a good summary with short bullets to add to my power point, without being the type of presenter that merely reads what they've put up.

  2. I have used the powerpoint program several times. I enjoy this program. I feel like they are a good way to organize your thoughts and share them. You can reach visual learners, as well as auditory. You can reach tactile learners by handing out a copy of your presentation. Jennifer Cottingham

  5. I have found Powerpoint to be a wonderful tool for livening up lectures. I have limited experience with putting the presentations, but my wife is a whiz at it. I have used many of her presentations in class to great effect on a variety of topics and would really like to learn to do them as well as she.

  6. I used powerpoint several years ago when I was in high school. We were required to do a group english project. No one in the group wanted to so the presentation so we opted to do a power point. It was a lot of fun and it made the presentation easier on everyone in the group. That is the only experience I have had with power point and like I said that was several years ago. So, I am looking forward to learning more and refreshing my memory.

  9. In the college of Business we used PowerPoint to present research papers to our class. I also used PowerPoint to present the monthly and yearly financal statements for managers at regular manager meetings. This allowed me to give the managers up to date info at meetings without having to print several copies of financal statements. It also allowed me to simplify the financal statements and adding comments and graphs to help managers understand what numbers are important to their departments.

  11. I have used Powerpoint when teaching a concept in the classroom like "how to use a comma" or when studying novels like "The Great Gatsby." I have also created PowerPoint presentations for my dad's insurance company. I'm very familiar with PowerPoint but it does seem to be the "ancient" way of teaching things unless you can come up with something new and exciting and visually exploding!

  15. I have used Powerpoint in the past, but it has been many years. I would like a bit of a refresher on the program since it has been so long since I have used it. Powerpoint is a program that can be very useful in a classroom setting.

I've used powerpoint for many presentations for classes, including one for my trip to China a few years ago. I mostly shared pictures, but would have liked to share some videos of operas and theatre students. It is for this reason that I would love to learn how to incorporate videos and music into any powerpoints (if that is possible).
